JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a System Solution Designer who will play a key role in shaping technical solutions for customer projects by designing system architectures based on standard products tailored to client needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyses and understands project requirements and deliverables
  • Prepares solution designs based on standard products tailored to customer requirements.
  • Actively communicates with the Sales Department during the project acquisition phase.
  • Actively communicates with the Purchasing Department to define product pricing.
  • Actively communicates with other relevant departments to clarify the solution design, cost and time estimates, scope of their work
  • Provides technical support to sales representatives in communication with customers.
  • Prepares cost estimates for required standard product solutions during the pre-sales phase.
  • Prepares software cost calculations based on project requirements.
  • Prepares material cost calculations based on project requirements.
  • Prepares labor cost calculations based on project requirements.
  • Prepares customer training cost calculations based on project requirements.
  • Prepares a list of project documentation required for the customer during the project acquisition preparation phase.
  • Creates graphical designs of projects for visualization purposes.
  • Calculates and models the reach/impact of various sensors (Radar, VHF, AIS).
  • Specifies new devices needed for the project in cooperation with the technical department.
  • Prepares a calculation sheet for project cost estimation and updates component pricing at least once every 6 months.
  • Responsible for the preparation of technical project solutions and project cost calculations.
  • Responsible for meeting the deadlines for the preparation of project documentation.

If needed, also:

  • Creates and processes codes in the ERP system; creates BOMs (Bill of Materials) for purchasing.
  • Prepares specifications for service procurement.
  • Prepares documentation for production and installation, including drawings in DWG format.
  • Develops technical documentation (user manuals, technical specifications, catalogs, etc.) as required by the project and customer.
  • Archives all generated production and other documentation.
  • Provides technical support in production.
  • Is familiar with the processes they own or are part of, follows the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, and knows where to access it. If a non-conformity is identified, they must report it to their superior and the quality manager, and cannot proceed with the process if non-compliance might occur. Actively participates in process and organizational improvements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field
  • IT overview and technical expertise
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and systematic thinking
